Meet Dr. Bassham
Dr. Deborah Bassham is a native of southern West Virginia.
She graduated from Union High School in 1982, then received a B.S.
degree in education with a specialization in learning disabilities from
Concord College. After teaching for several years, she entered dental school
at West Virginia University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She
received several awards during her dental training to include induction
into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society,
American Academy of Oral Medicine, and received the Quintessence award for academic achievement.
She continued her education in orthodontic specialty program at West Virginia University
where she was awarded her certificate and Masters Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Bassham
is involved in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association,
the American Association of Orthodontics, the Southern Association of Orthodontics, the World
Federation of Orthodontics, and is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Bassham spends most of her free time with her husband Mark, a native of Abingdon,
Virginia, and her three sons, Ashton, Ean, and Gage.
